In my opinion, the future of the year 2007 can be The Online Storage:
-Seeing how fast any personal space (mail, blog, wiki,...) give you more and more space and fast links, I think that in some a few, you will only need an high-speed internet connection.
-See the new U3 Flash memory key: all your software needs are on a key witch play as your virtual memory.

I think that soon, you will have only a personal key and an online home.

The question will be: will you trust the safety of your data if the hard disk is not in your hand?
(in my opinion, with all the recent software which can scan your computer from internet, there is no longer a difference between having a home data or a online one)

A video CV for global presentation

I think the video CV can be very handful to evaluate the oral and non-verbal skills of some one who apply for a job. It can also be great for a foreign job application.
But I really do not think it can replace a meeting.
-First, because a Video Cv is posted on a site and so is quite general and not made specifically for a particular application.
-Second, because you do not know how it was made, some maybe the technological gap can be a new discrimination.

I mean doing one is great because, if it is effective, it will raise the interest to meet you, but some consequences have to be known: if you play with the artistic sensibility of a person, may be he or she will not like the sound track you've put, the place where is was shot, etc... There are much more random critters than in a professional interview.

I think that the future of Youtube is a High Definition Youtube.
Because for the moment you look down to it, because the content is short, entertaining, and low quality of image.
But may be one day YouTube (or some thing in the same spirit), might be an institution of independent cinema: real long selfproducted movies from all over the internet sphere.

My second forsight is different: what about a streaming camera plugged on YouTube: go ahead, you're in live!!!!

Stop kidding, i think that pupils should put some of their production on the web.
I mean we can make some Chinese portrait or Proust ones, or whatever we want, in records or movies and put it on the web. Because I think it is important for us to listen to our englisk and see and heard what's going wrong.
It can even be cellphone movies why not. People have more rigor and communication abilities when they enjoy what they do.

YouTube is a popular freevideo sharing web site, users upload, view, and share video clips. It was founded in February 2005 by three employees of PayPal, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. The wide variety of site content includes movie and TV clips and music videos, as well as amateur content such as videoblogging. In October 2006, Google, announced that it had reached a deal to acquire the company for $USD1.65 billion.

I think the key to success is the uploading system and a very poor releasing control or moderating system from YouTube authority: they release mostly everything.

So you can find any thing on Youtube!

Maybe in a few years, Youtube can become an archive resource site, and I think so. If nothing is erase on Youtube, then you will find there everything that has been produced and put on.

Or you can simply pass your day watching it, like a plugged couch potatoe of the new century.

Since every children of the world play with computers, they are better practicing English.

Most of them have even never spoken English. But the fact is that they are use to speak English, because the programming language is based on English, because more than 55% of Internet content is in English. I do not care if it is a monopoly, unfair or what else, it has nothing to do with moral philosophy, it is an historical fact, that’s all.

Internet is a multimedia-media: you can get there video, audio and even mail command to get at home materials. So of course you can learn any language on the Net. But speaking English is not a choice but a necessity to handle the tool.

I personally use no social networks. Because I can not be stand the lack sensation of these world, I miss something, the sight, the smelling, the taste. I am not enough an abstract being to socialise on a long run with an invisible consciousness.

Some of my friends told me about Myspace.com, but more directly about MSNmessenger community. The fact is that I have never try to meet someone on one of these. I think I need circumstances, I love travelling, even in the metro sometimes I feel travelling. You meet the people you are available for meeting. Maybe people can meet other on the Web, I prefer outside world.
I know I could find on the net for people who would like the same ice cream I like, have the same interest than me, but I do not want to find. Because searching means already that you expect something. I expect what life will provide, and not by that mean.

I know Myspace.com is now also use for talents emergence, but future is maybe knocking on today’s doors: see peuplade.fr. Here you can meet on the net the people of your bloc§ But furthermore we can ask them some services as a Gift/ Counter Gift system theorized by Marcel Mauss as the potlatch (Essai sur le don, 1924.).

But I actually there can be “conceptual networks”, “economics networks”, “job networks” but being social needs i think a higher technological level of virtual reality.

My point of view is based on an historic one: at least on internet, Hackers have always been faster than institutional firms. I actually do not know how to work with program code, but it seems that no one is unbreakable.
I think that authorities did not imagine how powerful the Internet sharing ideology was.

I’m not saying that legitimate purchasers are dumbs, but I think that now that any group can broadcast its production on the net, the real problem is the profit for music majors will change: now you can pay directly the artist and now longer the fees for the major.

But first of all, a little bit of history on what "net neutrality" implies:
The term "net neutrality" was only coined recently, but the concept existed in the age of the telegraph, maybe even earlier. In 1860, a US federal law subsidizing a coast to coast telegraph line stated that

Of course there are and there will be technical innovations on the web language (XML, WEB2.0,…), like in a big Koctet Diet so that everything can go faster.
But I’m quite sure than file sizes will grow faster than technological means. Because films existed before Youtube and songs before Itunes, the main material main forgot most of the time by specialists, is our phone lane, our copper loop string to the Global Village.
High-speed internet is spreading to the world, right, but not that fast. Using internet is about how to use, how to create or how to share; first of all you have to have an access.

Only a tiny percentage of users will be able to enjoy the high speeds promised by next generation broadband services in the UK, warned a new report.
So-called ADSL2+ is being sold as the next stage for the net, delivering speeds of up to 24 megabits per second.
But just 5% of the population will be able to receive even 18Mb according to broadband market research group Point Topic.
Over half of the population will have speeds of no more than 8Mb, it said.
The speed end-users will get depends on how far they live from their local telephone exchange.
Full speed ahead
The problems lie in the length of the copper loop between the telephone exchange and peoples' homes.
"24Mb is achievable within 300 metres of the exchange so basically you can get those speeds if you happen to live next door to a telephone exchange," said Oliver Johnson, marketing director at Point Topic.
While people in countries such as France and Italy are already enjoying super-speed broadband, the UK has been slower to develop its high-speed market.
In Italy the issues of distance are less of a problem due to the fact that the local loop - the last bit of the telephone wire running between exchange and home - are shorter.
There are also more telephone exchanges and more densely packed residential areas, explained Tim Johnson, chief executive of Point Topic.
A flurry of UK internet service providers are now trialling ADSL2+ and promoting its ability to deliver speeds of up to 24Mb.
But in fact, 8Mb could well be sufficient for most people's needs and will be enough to deliver the whizzier services promised by next generation broadband, such as broadband TV, said Mr Johnson.
"Is the talk about 24 megabits just marketing hype? I think that it is and that 8Mb will be good enough, at least in the short term," he said.
A handful of providers have loosened their ties with BT to provide so-called unbundled services - which requires them to install their own equipment in BT's exchanges - and they are already offering 8Mb to customers.

Because want never stop in a consumer society, people will want higher quality, higher speed, improved sharing, and maybe our old and brave antic copper loops will soon have to retire.

Podcasting, is a term that was devised as a crisp way to describe the technology used to push audio content from websites down to consumers of that content, who typically listen to it on their iPod (hence the "pod") or other audio player that supports mp3 at their convenience. The term podcasting is meant to rhyme with broadcasting and is a derivative of the iPod platform. Podcasting is used for audio and is currently free of charge. However, that this technology can be used to push any kind of file, including software updates, pictures, and videos.
What makes podcasting special is that it allows individuals to publish (podcast) radioshows, that interested listeners can subscribe to. Before podcasting you could of course record a radio show and put it on your website, but now people can automatically receive new shows, without having to go to a specific site and download it from there.
